We are currently looking for a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team and help ensure the seamless daily operation of our clinic.

Job Overview:


The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our medical office. You will be a major point of contact for patients, managing administrative tasks, submitting medication prior authorizations, assisting with patient flow, and ensuring patient flow policies and procedures are followed by everyone involved in the process

.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit Prior Authorizations for Medications
  • Experience with blood draw and lab processing
  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assist with patient check-in/check-out processes
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and proper scheduling
  • Tracking and Managing Specialized Medications
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and ensure patient confidentiality at all times
  • Assist the Office Coordinator in spillover tasks as required, including:
    • Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes, emails, and referrals
    • Maintaining office supplies and ensuring cleanliness and organization of the reception area
    • Assist with preparing medical documents, forms, and reports as needed
  • Provide support to medical staff with additional administrative tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus
  • Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and office software (e.g., Google Suite)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations is a plus
  • Friendly and approachable with a patient-first attitude
