Mechanical Engineer Co-Op YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
- Preparing project mechanical specifications and summaries for front end design packages;
- Working with the mechanical designer to develop project drawings for equipment and piping layouts;
- Reviewing equipment vendor drawings and supporting construction;
- Supporting engineers in the development of mechanical equipment specifications;
- Supporting the development of construction drawings and specifications;
- Supporting the development of equipment checkout plans;
- Supporting project checkout and startup at manufacturing site.
WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Sophomore or Junior pursing a bachelors or masters in an engineering program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale;
- General mechanical aptitude;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Good problemsolving skills;
- High degree of personal initiative;
- Excellent organization and planning skills;
- Ability to work well in a team environment and a diverse culture;
- No travel limitations.
