BASIC PURPOSE : Musket Europe SARL, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, specializes in commodity supply, trading and logistics and provides expertise on both a marketing and operational level.  The basic purpose of this position is to manage all accounting processes related to Musket’s international accounting and assist the Director with Financial Statement evaluation and variance analysis/explanation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise the settlements and cash clearing components of the periodic close process (monthly/annual)
• Review/Approve cash clearing and additional A/R and A/P accrual journal entries for Musket, Musket Europe (TBD), Musket Mexico and Musket Canada
• Review and examine the above Musket entities’ monthly financial statements; preparing explanations for significant changes
• Monitor the settlement transactions in Solarc RightAngle to ensure accuracy/completeness
• Review monthly balance sheet workpapers related to the areas supervised – prepare, if necessary, for the balance sheet accounts
• Interact with external auditors to assist with completing the year-end audit
• Interact with external consultants to assist with various tasks related to accounting, financial reporting policies, IT implementation, tax filings, risk reporting, etc.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annually variance analysis and explanations for assigned areas
• Assist with Mexico and other entity Tax filings
• Other duties assigned as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
• Experience: 4-5 years’ experience in corporate accounting; energy industry & RightAngle experience a plus
• Experience in accounting for foreign exchange and transfer pricing preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel.

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
• Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
