About the role
As a
Junior Engineer , you will play a vital role in supporting our Design and Procurement teams in the seamless execution of our restaurant development projects. You will be deeply involved in the end-to-end process of design, ensuring that our back-of-house operations are equipped with the best resources to deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Culinary, Architecture, and external vendors. Your contributions will be critical in maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across all our restaurant locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and possesses a strong desire to grow and develop within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include: - Bluebeam Software Management: Input comments onto back-of-house kitchen equipment drawings using Bluebeam cloud software.
- Program Management: Record progress on tasks and track key milestones using Jira.
- Vendor Coordination: Contact equipment vendors to obtain and review quotes for kitchen equipment.
- On-Site Quality Inspection: Conduct quality inspections during restaurant installations to ensure compliance with standards. This accounts for less than 10% of the time.
- Equipment Documentation: Record and update new equipment standards as they develop.
- Collaboration: Work with appliance engineers to vet new equipment and assess suitability with the Culinary R&D and Operations teams.
- Cost Reduction: Contact additional suppliers to explore opportunities for reducing equipment costs.
- Engineering Drawing Support: Review engineering drawings to ensure compliance to Wonder-specific requirements. Drawings will be in both AutoCAD and BlueBeam Studio formats and will include: Kitchen Equipment Layouts, Low Voltage Equipment and Cabling Plans, and Electrical Power Plans.
- Documentation: IT hardware and organization (flow of info and documentation)
- Presentations: Compile data from orders to track costs and quantities over time. Prepare PowerPoint presentations to suggest cost-saving opportunities, highlight trends, and recommend strategies for optimizing procurement and installation processes.
The experience you have
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Low Voltage (LV) and electric engineering concepts is a plus.
- Familiarity with Engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion, Etc.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Experience in equipment procurement and vendor management is a plus.
- Experience with reading and communicating construction documentation is a plus.

Base Salary Range:
$102k - $107k A final note
