Job Description
Position Summary:
The Inventory Associate supports the Inventory team by participating in daily cycle counting,
frequent stock checks, and location maintenance for inventory items using 5S methodology. This role
involves creating new locations, adding location labels to racking, and providing general help and
support to ensure the efficient management of inventory. The Inventory Associate provides excellent
customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with
all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture.
Essential Functions:
• Participate in daily cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Perform frequent stock checks to verify quantities and locations of inventory items.
• Maintain and update inventory locations using 5S methodology to ensure items are correctly placed and tracked.
• Create new storage locations and label racking as needed.
• Assist with the organization and cleanliness of the inventory storage areas following 5S principles.
• Support the Inventory team with general tasks and projects as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth inventory operations.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to inventory management and safety.
• Fosters continuous improvement and innovation.
• Adheres to all Company safety rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated basic mathematical aptitude.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.
• Must be able to communicate in English regarding the essential functions of the position.
Required Experience and Education:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in inventory management or related field a plus
• Prior Forklift experience is a plus
• Knowledge of 5S Methodology is a plus
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50 lbs.
• Requires visual, hearing, and speech acuity.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes.
