About the Role
The Company is seeking an Interim Executive Director for Aboriginal Health to provide strategic leadership and advice on Aboriginal health issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that clinical services within the network are effective and culturally acceptable for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This role involves being a key member of the Executive Team, offering guidance, education, and leadership on matters that impact Aboriginal health outcomes. The Interim Executive Director will also be tasked with the operational and clinical governance of specific Aboriginal health services, including service development, planning, and performance. Building and enhancing relationships with Aboriginal communities to improve health outcomes will be a central focus. Applicants for the Interim Executive Director position must demonstrate a strong background in strategic leadership, with a specific emphasis on improving the quality of life for the indigenous community. An inclusive and engaging approach to Aboriginal issues is essential, as is the ability to maintain cultural integrity. The role requires a deep understanding of contemporary healthcare issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, as well as the ability to provide a culturally safe health service and work environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning, policy development, and managing change in complex settings.
