Job Details Job Location Pawhuska - Pawhuska, OK Description The Housing Inspector determines housing needs, certifies substandard housing, performs construction inspections, has knowledge of Federal, State, and Tribal building codes and has the ability to identify discrepancies. Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Facilities Management, Construction, Engineering preferred At least 5 years' experience in the maintenance or construction field preferred Will be required to enroll in a Construction Inspector Certification program within twelve (12) months of hire with a completion date not to exceed thirty-six (36) months of hire date unless already certified Some knowledge of construction techniques, materials and costs required Some knowledge with Construction Industry Standards required Must be First Aid/CPR certified within six (6) months of hire Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics Requires a high level of problem solving skills Requires familiarity with grant writing, administration, and compliance with grant regulations Requires familiarity with the concepts of project management Requires familiarity with the concepts of budget development and compliance with Tribal budgets Requires familiarity with planning concepts and processes including but not limited to program planning Requires a willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions Requires the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills Must maintain confidentiality Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing Must have a clean driving record - may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles Osage Nation
