Overview:
The HVAC Service Manager oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Supervise and train HVAC service technicians.
- Schedule and dispatch technicians for service calls.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training.
Customer Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction.
- Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
Operational Oversight:
- Monitor daily operations and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Manage service department budgets and financial performance.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians during complex repairs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HVAC technology.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and job sites to ensure compliance.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Prepare reports on service department performance and present to upper management.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in HVAC technology, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC service or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of managing teams and driving performance
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, maintenance, and repair processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficient in using service management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
Certifications:
- Relevant HVAC certification (e.g., EPA Section 608, NATE) is preferred.
- Managerial or leadership certifications can be advantageous.

Working Conditions:
