Metro One is seeking service-minded individuals to join our security officer team, who will bring customer service skills and continue to build on relationships with our clients. Prior Security Industry, Military or Corrections Experience Preferred. Alabama Security License is Preferred Security Officer Summary: The Security Officer(s) will be responsible for manning truck access gates and/or a command center - doing tours throughout interior & exterior of site buildings, monitoring alarms etc. Schedule must be flexible. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Schedule is subject to change. Responsibilities You will be trained and develop skills in the following: Access control systems Logistics Tracking Software CCTV Video Management Systems Strong Computer Skills Physical Security Inspections Willing/Able to stand/walk for lengthy periods (8hrs or more). Experience with Microsoft Office Vehicle Inspections Personnel Inspection Metal Detector and Baggage Inspection Systems Security Alarms Proficient in Report Writing Large/Busy Warehouse/MFG./Distribution Center Experience Helpful Must have strong communication skills Strong work ethic. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Ability to type and or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the requirements of the role. Able to understand documents, learn and follow ticketing procedures, and other rules and regulations. Requires walking/running up and down stairs on a regular basis Must be able to work unassigned shifts/schedules Work Environment: * Must be aware of surrounding and to moving vehicles and/or use of equipment. * May be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions, machinery noises, fumes, dirt and dust for extended periods. * Able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or in writing
