Job Posting Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Ophthalmology team as a Healthcare Data Analyst. In this role, you will be working closely with both the Foundation Business Operations Manager and Director of Finance in a wide-range of projects that involve both analytical and administrative duties in the realm of Business/HR/Benefits/Finance. Responsibilities may include analyzing revenue/expenses/visits, performing FTE analysis, and conducting investment analysis for Foundation Vanguard and Profit Sharing accounts. Additionally, you may compile data for 401a census testing, generate Academic Allowance data/letters, and examine data/perform calculations for the annual assignment of OR time. You may also be involved in data collection and creation for annual citizenship scorecards, as well as handling other miscellaneous administrative tasks in the Foundation Business Office including insurance renewals, tax filings, and HR/benefit related inquiries. The ideal candidate should have a degree in business, HR, finance, or healthcare administration, and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Someone who is passionate about continuous improvement and eager to learn and grow within the Foundation would be the perfect fit for this position.
The Healthcare Data Analyst shall be responsible for: - Assisting in the research, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of reports and analytical tools in the context of the hospital's clinical and/or financial systems. Collaborating with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that reports are timely, accurate, meaningful, and interpretable. Working with other team members to ensure that analyses and reports provide detailed, specific data regarding performance of individuals, teams, programs, divisions, and the department as a whole. Generating reports from a variety of internal and external sources, including benchmarking databases, e.g., PHIS, PACT, and specialty-specific registries. Performing standardized data validation activities to ensure the accuracy of information prior to sharing with audiences.

- Assisting in the creation of large new databases, or creating smaller databases as needed, and maintaining a valid and accurate data repository to ensure availability of required information. Assisting in the definition of specifications for key data elements, data collection procedures, and integrity of databases. Improving and maintaining the production environment for tasks and applications.
- Working with team members to develop insightful display of data using visualization tools.
- Assisting in the interpretation of data and providing the team with data-driven recommendations.
Schedule: M-F, Hybrid, 2x per week at
Stoneham office , 3x per week from home.
To qualify, you must have: - High School / GED. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytical field such as Economics, MPH, or Data Analytics Boot Camp preferred
- Experience with Data Analytics tools
- Understanding of basic relational database concepts, SQL syntax, and coding practices. In addition, familiarity with dimensional data modeling concepts used in data warehousing, business intelligence, and business analytics applications.
- Ability to translate reporting needs expressed in clinical or operational terms to technical solutions based on existing data, data structures, and query tool functionality.
