Job Description

This internship will help support the design needs of our graphic artists, project managers, and creative director. As the Graphic Design Intern, you will gain working knowledge into the daily responsibilities of a graphic artist at an expanding company, learning professional skills for the future. You'll receive feedback from experienced, full-time professionals in graphic design, editing and creative departments.

This internship is designed for entry-level professionals. We are looking for individuals who are serious about building a strong portfolio and starting a design career.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Work with others in order to understand company brands, and convey ideas in a visual manner
• Develop visually appealing projects that may include: presentations, print material design, icons, web design, etc.
• Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Requirements:

• Strong creative graphic design skills with a high level of knowledge using design software like Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop CS 3, 4 or 5
• A team oriented, hard working individual, who likes to collaborate
• Avid internet user with strong computer skills
• Knowledge of internet marketing concepts
• Strong design skill with a keen attention to detail
• Basic HTML preferred
• Social Media and Blogging experience preferred

Details:

• This is an on-location internship in Pontiac, Michigan
• Flexible hours (must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week)
• Casual work environment
