REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Is directly accountable and responsible to the Executive Director of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program.
The 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) initiative is part of a national rural investment by Goldman Sachs to unlock the growth and job creation potential of small businesses and is based on the broadly held view of leading experts that a combination of education, business support services, and access to capital best addresses the barriers to growth for small businesses.

Position Description & Details The successful candidate will support the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and 10KSB team at Bismarck State College through programmatic support, outreach and recruitment activities, and assistance in identifying opportunities with relevant stakeholders. Key duties and responsibilities of the role include: - Work collaboratively with the program manager with daily tasks that support the successful delivery of the 10KSB program.
- Work collaboratively with the executive director with outreach, recruitment, and business support services.
- Conduct research related to the communities we serve.
- General program support and assistance to ensure successful face-to-face session delivery.
- Work collaboratively with the 10KSB team to facilitate logistics of information sessions, recruiting, and networking events.
- Work collaboratively with the 10KSB team in creating and maintaining a database of recruitment leads for the 10KSB program.
- Work collaboratively with the 10KSB team in the management of applications throughout the application process in Salesforce.
- Schedule Zoom links for webinars, office hours, team meetings, and other calls.
- Assist with vendor set-up activities.
- Work collaboratively with the 10KSB team in running weekly webinars.
- Identify small business owners and entrepreneurial events within the ecosystem.
- Identify regional networking events, venues, and activities targeting small businesses.
- Assist with alumni program, activities, and communications.
- Work collaboratively with the 10KSB team in the development and management of relationships with key regional stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem who can contribute to the success of the program by promoting 10KSB to their eligible constituents.
- Work collaboratively with the 10KSB team to leverage existing knowledge and relationships in the small business development arena.
- Work collaboratively with the 10KSB team in creating and maintaining a database of key stakeholders within each local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Work collaboratively with the 10KSB team to identify opportunities and relationships that will enable the program to ensure participation rates among key targeted business owner populations including women-owned businesses, underserved community businesses, and other program targets.

Minimum Requirements - Associate degree and a minimum of three years of experience related to program support, networking, sales, lead generation, event planning, or a similar role; OR a minimum of five years related work experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent planning, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently with changing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.) and a willingness to learn new tools and software (e.g., Salesforce, PowerPoint, CRM, Constant Contact, Zoom, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's or advanced degree
- An entrepreneurial spirit or a desire to help small business owners grow and succeed.
- Networking, lead generation, and/or sales experience
- Willingness to engage with local chambers, economic development professionals, and the local entrepreneurship ecosystem in the upper Midwest.
- Experience in identifying key stakeholders within the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Experience with business development and working with small businesses.
- Proven success in identifying, building, and/or maintaining client relationships.
