As a leading financial services and healthcare technology company, SS&C is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager for Hedge Funds/Private Markets. The role involves reconciling fund positions and securities to outside sources, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of daily, monthly, and quarterly reports to clients including accounting reconciliations, general ledger, profit and loss, compliance, and performance reporting. The manager will maintain client relationships, lead operations, governance, and vendor review meetings, manage career advancement for 1-2 staff members, and oversee project management of client-specific initiatives. Responsibilities also include developing and implementing consistent policies and procedures, acting as an escalation point and problem solver, and driving enhancement projects for technology and operational processes. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s degree and/or CPA is a plus), 4-8+ years of experience in Accounting or Back Office Operations within Prime Broker, Administrator, Hedge Fund, Investment Advisor, or Audit firm environments. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, corporate actions, and various financial products (equities, fixed income, repurchase agreements, futures, FX, mortgages, options) is required. Advanced MS Excel skills and solid supervisory experience with effective delegation abilities are also necessary.
