The Mechanic’s Helper assists Mechanics with a variety of duties including machine operation, sheet metal layout, basic fitting, gathering necessary tools and cleanup duties.

High School Diploma or equivalency
Skilled at basic shop math and able to add and subtract fractions
Ability to precisely read a tape measure
Able to operate simple machines and power equipment
Experience troubleshooting or using general mechanical aptitude to solve problems
Ability to travel to customer sites for installation and warranty work at a minimum of 25% annually
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand a minimum of 7.5 hours a day.
Ability to regularly lift and carry parts from 5 to 45 lbs. Occasionally up to 60 lbs. Hoists are available.
Frequent twisting, reaching, grasping and bending.
Ability to read blueprints, measuring tools and paperwork.
Ability to write to complete paperwork.
Good hand-eye coordination.
