The Opportunity

We are seeking a Residential Construction Superintendent with proven expertise in managing luxury residential projects from groundbreaking through completion. This is a leadership role, responsible for ensuring that every detail of our projects reflects Alair's commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The Superintendent partners closely with the Project Manager, field teams, and trade partners to deliver homes that exceed expectations.

This position is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and who takes pride in representing both the craft and the client experience at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily onsite operations for large-scale custom homes and high-end renovations.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager on scheduling, resource planning, and budget oversight.

• Direct subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure superior quality and adherence to timelines.

• Conduct frequent site walks, ensuring workmanship meets or exceeds Alair standards.

• Uphold jobsite safety in compliance with California OSHA (Cal/OSHA) requirements and company protocols.

• Manage municipal inspections, permitting processes, and regional building requirements.

• Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and communication updates.

• Anticipate and proactively resolve onsite challenges to minimize delays and protect budgets.

• Act as a professional representative of Alair with homeowners, consultants, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in high-end residential construction.

• Strong knowledge of California building codes, coastal permitting processes, and regional construction practices.

• Demonstrated success leading multiple trades while maintaining timelines and budgets.

• Proven leadership with the ability to make timely, sound decisions and resolve conflicts effectively.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of building trust with clients, teams, and partners.

• Proficiency with construction management platforms (Buildertrend, Procore preferred) and Microsoft Office.

• Valid California driver's license; ability to travel within the Tri-Counties region.
