About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and management oversight for various departments, including building maintenance, mechanical and engineering services, emergency management, environmental compliance, and work order management. This role involves supervising up to 225 personnel and managing an operating and capital budget of approximately $92 million. The Executive Director will also advise senior management and the Board of School Commissioners on technical, operating, and administrative matters related to the management and operation of all facilities within the system's portfolio. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least seven years of supervisory, administrative, or leadership experience in facilities management. The role requires expertise in strategic planning, budget administration, and project management, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks and ensure high levels of customer service. The Executive Director will be the lead point of contact for all facility management matters, coordinate with the Office of New Initiatives on long-range facility planning, and represent the COO in various meetings and conferences. Strong communication skills, proficiency in technical computer applications, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders are essential.
