About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Northeastern North Carolina Chapter. This external-facing role is pivotal in community relations, with a focus on supporting mission capacity building, and strengthening relationships across all community elements. The successful candidate will be the primary liaison to the community, responsible for communicating the organization's programs, capabilities, and opportunities for involvement. Key responsibilities include serving as the face of the organization to maximize its presence and connectivity in the community, developing sustained community relationships, and managing a chapter board to effectively mobilize support and resources. The role also involves influencing to create an environment of teamwork and inclusion and may include serving as a member of the Elected Officials Liaison Network to support disaster responses. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 5 years' of related experience. The role requires strong communication, influencing, and public speaking skills, as well as the ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and sustaining community relationships and be adept at working with a team. The position demands a high level of commitment to the organization's mission and may involve travel within the region and beyond. A current valid driver's license and a good driving record are essential.
