Position Title: Events Manager  

Pay Grade: 13  

Reports To: General Manager

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000

Job Summary

As an Events Manager for a premier corporate client, you'll serve as the main point of contact for special events. In this role, you'll work directly with our clients planning outstanding on and off-premise events. Work schedule is Monday through Friday and hours will vary depending on the event schedule (primarily daytime hours). The position entails a need for excellent attention to detail and communication skills and the ability to multi-task on a variety of projects simultaneously.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements service standards for small and large special events
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of events from concept to completion.
  • Plans menus, layout, decor, and booking entertainment (when appropriate) for events.
  • Create and manage detailed project timelines, run-of-show schedules, and contingency plans.
  • Provides recommendation /guidance based on experience and trends in the industry to enhance each event.
  • Manages the event budget from the initial stage and provides after event summary and cost.
  • Collaborates and supports Director of Events and GM in planning events.
  • Identifies client/guest needs and interacts in a positive, proactive manner.
  • Oversees the maintenance of adequate equipment, product, and decoration inventories.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor event staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Maintains accurate tracking and billing systems for catered events.
  • Disseminates information to all concerned department heads and staff members through preparation and distribution of detailed function sheets at regularly scheduled intervals.
  • Oversees sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.
  • Inspire a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations, offering guidance, and fostering team accountability.
  • Builds local business with marketing and customer outreach.


Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of food and industry trends.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing events in a high volume, luxury F&B environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility to work evenings
  • ServSafe certification, recommended
  • Superior communication and problem- solving/strategizing skills
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
