Position Overview: This position is responsible for setting up and staffing various events sold by the sales staff for all properties within the organizaion. This position works directly with catering and various rental companies to meet the contracted needs for each event. With direction from the Sales department, the event coordinator will develop systems along with the Operation and Management staff to accommodate the needs of our customers.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop contacts within the community to provide the services needed to host an event.
• Assist with Site Inspections when needed
• Work directly with sales and marketing to help sell events that are open to the public
• Directly communicate information between Sales Manager and contracted companies providing

various services.

• Directly work with the Operations and Management Staff to produce various events both indoor

and outdoors.

• Work on promotions and cross-promotions as outlined by Sales.
• Create, decorate and revise room layouts for each event.
• Assist with preparing budgets and provide periodic progress reports to Sales Manager for each event.
• Make potential sales calls

Non-essential Job Functions:

• Help with deliveries when needed
• Assist in mailings and booking special events when asked
• Light Travel when needed (some overnight travel possible on occasion)
• Database operation / maintenance
• Light Phone duties

Requirements:

• Three (3) years' experience in the hospitality business.
• Must have your own vehicle with valid driver's license / Carry required insurance and log mileage
• Basic computer skills; experience in Word/Excel a plus

Other Skills / Abilities:

• Strong Communication skills a must with both staff and clients
• Computer skills / Phone Skills
• Ability to think outside the box
• Ability to take good notes
• Personality and verbal skills in a social atmosphere required to work events, booth shows and develop relationships
