EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
ENTRY LEVEL FIREFIGHTER/EMT
MARYSVILLE FIRE DISTRICT is accepting applications to establish an Entry-level Firefighter/EMT list! The next
fire academy is in February 2026!
Salary Range: $6,795.54/month, up to $10,581.62/month with longevity, plus eligible employees receive, in
addition to their monthly salary, $200 - $400 compensation based on acceptable degrees from accredited
organizations.
Benefits: Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
Employees are able to enroll in a district sponsored 457k deferred compensation plan with a 4% monthly
employer match. Employees will also receive 21 hours of vacation/holiday leave every month and 16 hours of
sick leave hours every month.
Exam Dates:
Monday, December 1, 2025 Written Test: Station 66 - The written exam is a general knowledge test designed for entry-level candidates. There are no study materials.
Top 20 candidates will be invited to the next phase on:
Monday, December 8, 2025 Oral Board Interviews: Administration Building
Top 15 candidates will be invited to the next phase on:
Tuesday, December 16, 2025 EMS Practical Test: Station 66
Eligibility Requirements:
Be at least 21 years of age prior to October 10, 2025.
Ability to pass a background investigation (criminal background check) and employment history verification.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and psychological exam.
Must meet all qualifications as listed in the job description (See Job Announcement on website).
Have a current and valid Washington State Driver’s License acceptable to the Fire District’s insurance
carrier and Fire District policy.

Copy of your EMT Certification – must be Washington State Certified EMT on or before October 10, 2025.
Copy of IFSAC FF1 certification (If you have one).
Copy of a high school diploma or equivalency, or college transcript.
Copy of your current CPAT – Certification must be dated after October 10, 2024.
