The Enrollment Coordinator and Recruiter - WC Online ("WC Online Recruiter") focuses on recruiting new students for multiple existing and emerging online programs at Wilmington College. The WC Online Recruiter develops relationships from inquiry through first registration with both domestic and international students who are interested in either the undergraduate or graduate online programs. This position is responsible for day-to-day recruitment activities, including, but not limited to, outreach activities to target companies and organizations and individuals, ensuring the consistent enrollment of new students into online programs. The WC Online Recruiter works with colleagues in dedicated international markets to recruit and enroll international students to the appropriate WC Global Online Programs.

The WC Online Recruiter develops and maintains proactive outreach strategies to recruit for specific online programs to ensure enrollment of qualified students to achieve semester and annual enrollment goals. This requires prompt responses to all emails, text messages, live chat inquiries, and phone calls. The person in this role also identifies and builds relationships with appropriate companies, organizations, and institutions that can provide a continuous pipeline of students. This position maintains up-to-date knowledge of academic offerings, admission requirements, and enrollment trends. The WC Online Recruiter updates CRM records to reflect incoming and outgoing communications as well as enrollment status and utilizes data to analyze the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and make continuous improvements. The person in this position is also able to craft engaging and effective outreach to communicate with prospective students. Throughout the entire process, the position works collaboratively with Financial Aid, the Registrar, and Academic Services teams to assure that students encounter streamlined and a user-friendly experience. The position reports to the Vice President for External Relations but also works closely with the College's Enrollment team.

Essential Job Functions

  • Execute best practice relationship building and decision making with provided and generated leads.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records within a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Analyze data to identify trends/patterns that impact recruitment, to make strategic, data-driven decisions on recruitment activities, and to measure the effectiveness of recruitment tactics.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President for External Relations, the Director for the Master of Organizational Leadership program, and the Associate Director for International Affairs to develop and execute recruitment and communication plans to targeted audiences.
  • Collaborate with members of the College marketing team to develop fresh, bold, and purposeful recruitment materials.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all online programs, as well as a working knowledge of all Wilmington College programs to assist all student types.
  • Maintain knowledge of the College's mission, purpose, and strategic goals and the role this position plays in achieving those goals.
  • Thrive on being accountable for performance and achievement of enrollment goals, as well as supporting students' goals for pursuing their bachelors and master's degrees.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements to Perform Work

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in college admissions or related area.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed goals.
  • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills with the ability to positively influence and motivate others, especially in a virtual setting.
  • Ability to identify and articulate new business opportunities.
  • Strong customer service orientation, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work varied schedules each week, including weekends and evenings. This position will serve multiple time zones and students who may require assistance and service during non-traditional times.
  • May involve some travel and must have a valid U.S driver's license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong detail orientation with good personal planning and time-management skills and a history of performing these skills with minimal in person supervision.
  • Experience in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM tools required.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial selling environment and maintain a sense of humor and positive attitude.
