Job Summary

The Trucking Dispatcher plays a key role in coordinating freight movements, supporting drivers, and ensuring timely deliveries. You’ll manage schedules, communicate with customers, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers for dry van freight loads, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling
• Monitor driver locations and delivery progress
• Communicate with drivers to provide updates, resolve issues, and offer support
• Coordinate with customers to confirm pickup and delivery details
• Ensure loads are minimal or no touch, and communicate expectations clearly
• Maintain accurate records of driver logs, fuel usage, and mileage
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
• Assist with load planning and backhaul opportunities to maximize efficiency

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing situations
• Basic understanding of DOT regulations and driver hours of service
• High school diploma or equivalent; logistics or transportation coursework is a plus
