Job description:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Project Management to lead our project management team in delivering low voltage and telecom infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with company goals, client expectations, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in MDU construction lifecycle, low voltage systems, telecom, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for operational excellence.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers across multiple projects and regions. 
  • Develop and implement project management best practices, tools, and templates to ensure consistency and efficiency. 
  • Oversee project lifecycle from initiation to closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management. 
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, procurement, and field operations to ensure seamless project execution. 
  • Monitor project performance metrics and provide regular reporting to executive leadership. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and customer satisfaction. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all projects. 
  • Manage escalations and resolve project-related issues in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Verify projects are being completed to drawings/specifications/SOPs.  
  • Monitor project issues, scope changes, risks and milestones providing confident and honest project progress evaluation to internal teams and customers. 
  • Remove project roadblocks and creatively assist in conflict resolution to improve team productivity and overall project delivery. 
  • Support strategic planning and forecasting for future projects and resource needs. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field. 
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification strongly preferred. 
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. 
  • Proven experience managing MDU or commercial projects. 
  • Ideal candidates have experience with telecom and low voltage infrastructure projects. 
  • Understanding of structured cabling, fiber optics, wireless systems, and related technologies. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Experience in labor planning and procurement. 
  • Ability to travel as needed to support project teams and client engagements.
