We are seeking a highly engaged manager who will lead our creative team in drafting, in-house vinyl/graphics printing, plotting, laminating, and install operations. As a shoulder-to-shoulder manager, the primary focus will be overseeing the 2D & 3D graphics and drafting teams, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and maintaining our strong partnership with our vendors to ensure seamless production operations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership:
Hire, train, and manage a team of creative specialists, production technicians, and installers.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Set clear performance goals and metrics for team members to achieve profitability, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
Project Management: Oversee all aspects of asset graphics for both pre-production (sales) and production process including design, plotting, printing, laminating, and installation.
Coordinate with internal project teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate execution of projects.
Develop and maintain production schedules to meet deadlines.
Drafting Responsibilities: Create detailed and accurate technical drawings for graphics and installation projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
Review and interpret design briefs and project plans to develop precise drafts that support production and installation.
Collaborate with the design and production teams to identify and address potential drafting or technical issues before they arise.
Ensure all drafts are updated, version-controlled, and shared effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail to prevent errors and ensure the accuracy of measurements, scaling, and materials in all drafts.
Vendor Management: Collaborate closely with current vendors to manage the external production of graphics, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
Work with vendors to streamline the pre-production function by reducing errors and eliminating miscommunications that require rework.
Quality Control: Implement and maintain standards for quality control throughout the production process.
Review all creative elements, drafting details, and final production to ensure that it meets client specifications and meets Lime Media's margin and quick-turn standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other internal stakeholders to align production with project goals.
Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between the creative team and other departments.
Operational Management:
Set up and manage the in-house design, plotting, printing, laminating, and installation processes.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and train the team on all printing and laminating equipment.
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify potential issues and develop solutions to improve processes and outcomes.
Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to keep Lime Media at the forefront of the market.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Collaboration: Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between team members, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.
Quality: Maintain high standards of quality in all products and services.
Timeliness: Meet or exceed project deadlines consistently.
Detail-Oriented: Show meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of the production process.
Client Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through quality work and timely delivery.
Requirements
Skills/Abilities: Operate with and hold team highly accountable to pace, deadlines, and margin goals.
Strong graphic/typography, drafting, and design instincts.
Proficiency in digital and print media production.
Proficiency in graphics/drafting software and printing hardware.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Auto CAD (or similar drafting tools) and other relevant software.
High energy, extremely organized, and flexible, with the ability to delegate and shift priorities with ease
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Education and Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the graphic design, drafting, or printing industry.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with vinyl wrap installation w/ vehicle graphics is highly preferred.
Associate or bachelor's degree in graphic design, drafting, visual arts, or a related field is preferred. Lime Media Group Inc
