Data Systems Analyst Job Description:

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and technically proficient Data Systems Analyst to join our client
This role focuses exclusively on developing Excel macros, running and optimizing reports in IDMS, and performing related tasks to enhance the efficiency of our procurement processes
improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Excel Macros Development:
    • Design, create, and maintain Excel macros to automate repetitive tasks and improve workflow efficiency for the procurement team
    • Ensure that macros are robust, scalable, and user-friendly
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for macro-related issues
  2. IDMS Reporting:
    • Generate, customize, and optimize reports from the Integrated Data Management System (IDMS) to support procurement operations
    • Develop and maintain reporting templates to streamline data retrieval and analysis
    • Validate report accuracy and data integrity
  3. Data Analysis and Process Improvement:
    • Analyze data from various sources to identify areas for process improvement within the procurement department
    • Collaborate with procurement staff to understand their reporting needs and provide tailored solutions
    • Implement process improvements based on data-driven insights
  4. Peripheral Duties:
    • Assist with ad-hoc reporting and data extraction tasks as needed
    • Document processes and provide training to team members on new tools and macros
    • Stay updated with best practices and emerging technologies in data analysis and reporting
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining Excel macros, including proficiency in VBA
  • Strong experience with IDMS or similar data management systems
  • Familiarity with PowerBI and data visualization is highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to handle multiple projects
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with different teams
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the construction machinery or manufacturing sector
  • Understanding of procurement processes and terminology
  • Experience in developing training materials and documentation
Working Conditions:
