Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Call Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our core team. In this full-time role, you will collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to deliver top-notch anesthesia care for medical and surgical procedures.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a 24/7 model , with a flexible, non-patterned schedule that includes in-house call responsibilities during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays. Your commitment to patient safety and your excellent clinical skills will be essential in this fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care: Deliver safe, patient-centric anesthetic care.
  • Professional Skill: Monitor vital signs and adhere to ASA guidelines during anesthesia.
  • Information Management: Ensure accurate documentation and protect patient information.
  • Quality Management: Uphold high standards of professionalism and compassion in patient care.

Qualifications

Education: Completion of a Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.

Experience: Clinical experience as a CRNA is preferred but not required. All APRNs, PAs, CRNAs, and CNMs must be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital.

Licensure: Current Connecticut RN and APRN licenses, AANA Certification, ACLS, and DEA Registration.

Special Skills: Strong concentration, effective communication, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.

As a CRNA, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Intellectual and conceptual abilities for problem-solving.
  • Effective communication skills, including speech, reading, and writing.
  • Motor functions to perform necessary tasks and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and navigate patient care environments.
