LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing manufacturer in Mentor, Ohio, to find a proactive and hands-on Contract Cost Accountant. This is a unique chance to step into a role where you’ll have the autonomy to build and shape cost accounting processes from the ground up. The company is seeking someone who can take ownership, establish best practices, and serve as the go-to resource for all cost-related matters. You’ll be instrumental in bringing structure and transparency to an important area of the organization.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement cost accounting policies and procedures to support business growth.

• Analyze and clarify costs for a wide range of inventory items, from simple to complex.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for cost accounting, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the organization.

• Take initiative to identify gaps, recommend solutions, and drive improvements in cost tracking and analysis.

• Be comfortable working both in the office and on the shop floor to understand the full scope of operations.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of cost accounting experience, in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly.

• A self-starter who enjoys building processes and isn’t afraid to take initiative.

• Comfortable working independently and collaborating across teams.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $40.00 per hour
