Content Marketing Writer (Full Time)
Department: Marketing

Schedule: Monday - Friday Onsite

Position Title: Content Marketing Writer

Summary:

As a Content Marketing Writer at Homemakers, you will leverage your passion for words and proven writing skills to craft compelling content that resonates with our key consumer segments. This role involves creating and managing content across various marketing and ecommerce channels, ensuring alignment with company goals and deadlines. You should be adept at copywriting, proofreading, and strategic thinking, with a strong understanding of how effective communication drives results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement integrated content marketing plans, including owned, earned, and paid media, to meet company objectives and campaign goals.
  • Create and edit original copy for diverse media, including email, social media, web, SMS, video, OTT and other digital advertising.
  • Analyze briefs, trends, and data to understand business needs and target audience, identifying new opportunities for content.
  • Translate marketing strategies into engaging and persuasive copy that aligns with brand voice and objectives.
  • Write and optimize blog content to support SEO strategies and drive conversions.
  • Apply SEO best practices and make content recommendations to enhance search engine visibility.
  • Produce short and long-form content, including email campaigns, social media posts, SMS, video descriptions, and ad copy.
  • Collaborate with graphic and digital designers to develop effective headlines, taglines, and copy for various marketing materials.
  • Support LinkedIn content creation to promote thought leadership and public relations efforts.
  • Maintain Homemakers brand standards, voice, and tone across all content.
  • Assist the ecommerce team with website content updates using Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Work with strategy, creative, social, and ecommerce teams to develop comprehensive content plans.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, or digital marketing, preferably in a retail setting.
  • Ecommerce experience is a plus, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Exceptional creative writing and grammar skills.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with Office365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Ads.
