We are recruiting a Senior Executive in Compliance & Privacy for an IPA healthcare organization in the Sacramento region. This position will oversee and direct all aspects of the organization's Compliance & Privacy program. #DirectHire #Sacramento #Onsite

Our client offers a competitive compensation package. Pay: $160k - 220k DOE.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a healthcare compliance leadership role at a Medi-Cal managed care focused Independent Physician Association (IPA ), Medical Group or Health Plan. Legal Counsel experience is a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and maintain an effective, comprehensive Compliance & Privacy Program.
• Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies, procedures, and practices to prevent, detect, and respond appropriately to potentially non-compliant practices.
• Consult and work collaboratively with organizations general counsel and outside counsel to address legal compliance issues.
• Respond effectively to potential violations of applicable standards and develop and oversee a uniform system for documenting and resolving them.
• Institute and maintain effective compliance communications.
• Report to management and the governing body about legal compliance initiatives, activities, and developments.
• Support legal, compliance, regulatory, transactional, contract, managed care, and other healthcare, business, operational, and employment matters.
• Support the General Counsel in the management of any disputed matters, record requests, and subpoena responses.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience as a Chief, Director or VP of Compliance & Privacy with an IPA medical group, managed care health plan or hospital system.
• Compliance leadership from IPA medical group required.
• Legal Counsel experience a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with HIPAA privacy and corporate compliance programs.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience working for or with medical groups and other healthcare systems and managed care organizations.
