Located in Torrance, CA, the SBHHC’s business model is focused on providing a one-stop-shop solution for payors and patients and generating significant cross-selling opportunities and recurring business. With 40+ years of home medical equipment sales experience, SBHHC has established relationships with the largest Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and physician networks in the region. SBHHC maintains two facilities - a 12,000 sq. ft. retail showroom and office space and an 8,000 sq. ft. CRT facility and office space for the design and repair of manual and power wheelchairs and scooters.

The Role

This is a full-time position requiring 40 or more hours per week. The Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) is a key position and integral to the day-to-day management of the Company. CRT ATP has primary responsibility to analyzes the technological needs of customers with disabilities and assist them with selecting and use adaptive devices.

Qualifications

The CRT ATP must have a minimum of three (3) or more years of customer service experience required. Experience with Home Medical Equipment (DME) is highly desired.

  • Minimum one to three (1-3) years of experience in the Complex Rehabilitation Field.
  • Possess a valid Assistive Technology Professional certification.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • High School or GED. Post-secondary education in the medical field is desired.
  • Clinical experience preferred, but not required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal, time management, organizational, and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently at a fast pace to meet established timelines
  • Strong communication skills in speaking and writing
  • Ability to recognize and direct information appropriately
  • Demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel knowledge

The CRT ATP’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work collaboratively with doctors and clinicians to evaluate and assess customer rehabilitation needs
  • Deliver and configure equipment based on the individuals functional needs and requirements
  • Provide education to customers and stakeholders regarding the proper use, selection, and service of Rehab Technology products
  • Respond to customer inquiries, complaints
  • Maintain current, valid, certifications and licenses
  • Complete continuing education requirements in a timely manner in order to maintain valid certification
  • Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory requirements for health care operations, Rehab Technology operations and industry advances
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned based upon business needs or requirements
  • Maintains and improves upon existing relationships with current accounts and builds new ones with prospective accounts
  • Completes sales orders in a timely manner ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete
  • Maintains and improves existing relationships with current customers and manufacturers and outreaches others to expand accounts and increase sales
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies and/or complaints
  • Offer best-in-class customer experience to both retain and build upon our existing customer base
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies in DME industry, health care operations, Rehab Technology, The Joint Commission, OSHA, DOT, FDA, and state and federal agencies
  • Attends and actively participates in department meetings to discuss changes, workload enhancement strategies, performance results, and resolve issues
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies in health care industry including The Joint Commission, OSHA, DOT, FDA, , Heath Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Guidelines and state and federal agencies
  • Attend and actively participate in the Employee Book Club
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary $80,000 - $1300,000 based on experience and education.
