Essential duties:
1. Provide comprehensive care for all injuries and illnesses sustained by student athletes.
2. Maintain a medical file for each student-athlete, including written records of all care rendered.
3. Coordinate AT coverage for all home games/events of high-risk sports, and as many away contests as needed.
4. Provide support, as needed, for all practice sessions on campus. Be on call for all teams practicing off campus.
5. Foster relationships among trainers, the team physician, other attending physicians, health services, coaches, athletes, and parents.
6. Adhere to CAAHEP accredited programs, NATA Code of Ethics, Code of Professional Practice, Department of Health Guidelines for Conduct of Licensees, and NAIA Code of Ethics.
7. Maintain the sports medicine facilities and equipment.
8. Prepare and maintain the sports medicine budget.
9. Assist the head coaches with injury prevention and physical conditioning.
10. Assist in special events and tournaments, championships, fundraisers, and/or clinics.
11. Prepare an inventory list for Fall orders. Coordinate with AD all equipment needing servicing or replacement.
12. Contribute to the maintenance of good working relationships with all athletics staff members and student-athletes through a positive and constructive approach to all tasks, respect for the competencies of others, and appropriate conflict resolution behavior.
13. Oversee the usage and updating of Healthy Roster for coaches, compliance, and emergencies.
Required:
1. Master's degree required
2. National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certification required.
3. Three years of experience in a collegiate athletic training setting
