Job Description

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
• Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
• Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop area
• Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of food and beverages
• Assist with food preparation, such as baking pastries or assembling sandwiches
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent service
• Provide recommendations to customers based on their preferences and dietary restrictions
• Uphold the company's standards for quality and consistency in beverage preparation

Requirements

• Previous experience in sales, food service, or customer service is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to handle food safely
• Familiarity with retail math for cash handling and transactions
• Ability to operate a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system accurately
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner
• Excellent multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
