Position Summary:
The Clinical Informatics QA Tester Intern will assist in analyzing and understanding business requirements so test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts can be created to identify any data related defects. The intern will perform a variety of tasks, supporting the project manager and collaborating with team members. They are a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking. The QA Intern will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications and systems. The position will assist with the validation and closure of control issues identified through testing. They collectively perform various types of testing including, but not limited to functional usability, mobile testing, security, load, and performance testing, thereafter, analyzing results. This position will reside on the Clinical Informatics team and will report to the Clinical Informatics Associate Director. They will work closely with the Clinical Informatics and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compares data in multiple tables, datasets, and data sources
• Works with the team to maintains quality standards by accurately documenting, analyzing and resolving issues with the development and operations teams
• Participates in meetings to ensure test coverage aligns with project goals
• Executes test cases to diagnose issues and bugs
• Performs both manual and automated testing
• Collaborates with software engineers to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Performs troubleshooting
• Participates in user acceptance testing
• Analyzes test results
• Logs and documents bugs within the tracking system
• Performs system integration testing
• Documents results and communicates findings
• Performs other duties as assigned
