The Chief of Staff is responsible for providing high-level support to the organization's CEO and overseeing daily operations. They will manage the CEO's schedule, assist with strategic initiatives, and play a key role in supporting the CEO during board meetings and fundraising activities. This is a senior level position.

Description

Responsibilities

• Acts as a strategic advisor to the CEO
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the CEO, internal/external stakeholders, and the board of directors
• Manage the CEO's schedule, including organizing meetings, appointments, and board meetings
• Assist in developing and implementing organizational goals and objectives
• Coordinate and oversee special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CEO
• Monitor and report on the organization's performance metrics to the CEO and board 
• Conduct research and prepare reports for the CEO and the board as needed
• Prepare materials for board meetings
• Oversee the business functions of the organization, including human resources, accounting, auditing, payroll, development and communications
• Creates and maintains systems and processes to streamline operations
• Establishes standards and procedures for hiring and managing the office staff and personnel for the CEO
• Supervise other administrative staff and all contractors
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Alignment to Voces Unidas’ missions
• 5 to 7 years of professional experience, especially in the advocacy and policy space
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Proven experience in a leadership or executive support role
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of non-profit operations
• Access to a car with the ability to travel to the mountains at least once a month or as needed
• Able to work evenings and weekends, as needed
• Able to work from an office and in person (not a remote position)
