About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to take on a pivotal role in managing the compliance management system for key areas of compliance risk. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all components of the compliance management system are effectively in place, particularly in the areas of fair banking, mortgage loan quality control, second line oversight functions, and second line testing. This role demands a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a team in the execution of various compliance-related duties. Key responsibilities for the Chief Compliance Officer include compliance program development, regulatory monitoring and reporting, risk management, training and education, policy and procedure oversight, and an advisory role on significant compliance issues. The ideal candidate will be adept at assessing compliance risk exposure, identifying and addressing compliance issues, and promoting a culture of compliance within the organization. They will also be expected to liaise with regulatory bodies, respond to inquiries and examinations, and ensure that the company's compliance practices align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The position is essential for the company's operations, as it involves providing counsel to the executive team on compliance risks related to strategic decisions and overseeing the integration of compliance into the business's daily operations.
