Gulf Winds is seeking Local Owner Operators for its Houston, TX location. Gulf Winds serves the container drayage, transloading, and domestic transportation industries and offers CDL-A owner operators consistently high volumes of work. Plus, you’ll stay close to your starting point, making your runs and home time dependable.

Compensation:

• Average Weekly Pay: $4,500 + 100% FSC
  • Fuel surcharge paid off gross (% of load)
• Bonuses:
  • Sign on bonuses available, amounts change monthly

Home Time, Route and Schedule

• Home Daily
• Routes: Local & Regional routes that will still get you home daily
  • stops may include San Antonio, Dallas, Victoria, TX, Waco, TX, Durant, OK & Seminole, OK
• Level of Touch: Most freight is drop and hook, minimizing load/unload times and boosting efficiency

Equipment Requirement

• Any year of truck as long as it passes inspection
• Sleeper or Double Axle Day cab

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL A License
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum 1-year verifiable tractor trailer driving experience in the last 10 years
• TWIC required, HazMat not required but adds additional opportunities
• No more than three (3) moving violations within the last thirty-six (36) months.
• No more than two (2) preventable accidents within the last twenty-four (24) months
• Must be able to pass a FMCSA pre-hire drug screen and have no prior FMCSA positive drug and/or alcohol testing or refusals within the last 10 years
• Must be able to pass a previous employer and criminal background check. No misdemeanor in the last five (5) years or felony convictions in the last seven (7) years
• Must live within 60 Miles of Houston, TX
