POSITION GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

The CDL A Dump Truck Driver is responsible for delivering and distributing materials/products and equipment to the project job site. Must be able to self-load both truck and trailer with equipment and materials.

POSITION CHARACTERISTICS : An energetic, forward thinking, creative individual with high ethical standards, appropriate professional image, sound technical skills and good judgment. Retains good communication skills. This position requires a versatile individual who is results-oriented, able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, well organized, self-directed and who is a team player.

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operates dump truck, trucks and other equipment.
• Completes appropriate paperwork for mileage and D.O.T. trip sheets.
• Transports and delivers construction materials and equipment to projects in a timely manner.
• Operates loader to self-load materials.
• Performs routine checks on trucks and trailers (oil, tires, water, leaks, etc.) at the beginning of each shift.
• Washes trucks and equipment when not on the road.
• Keeps trucks/beds of trucks and equipment cleaned out.
• Assist with additional projects, duties, and tasks as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :

Education: High School graduate.

Knowledge Required: Extensive knowledge of heavy construction equipment and maintenance.

Experience Required: At least two (2) years of commercial driving experience. Valid Class A CDL license is required.

Skills/Abilities: Shows the ability to have strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
