Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our underground team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operation, including manual transmission and experience with different types of trailers such as refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker. The Truck Driver will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Duties Operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and maintenance records. Follow assigned routes and schedules while being adaptable to changes as needed. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road. Utilize forklifts or other equipment as necessary for loading/unloading tasks. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while promoting safe driving practices. Experience Proven experience in truck driving, with a focus on commercial driving roles. Familiarity with manual transmission operation is essential. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Previous delivery driver experience is a plus. Ability to handle freight efficiently while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Strong route driving skills with the ability to navigate various terrains and weather conditions.
