About the Role
The Company is seeking a Career Coach to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing essential coaching and mentoring to learners in the Accelerate U program, with a focus on supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds in their professional development. This role involves guiding learners through the training, field-based externship, and job placement process, as well as problem-solving to create personalized success plans and identifying appropriate resources to ensure program completion. The Career Coach will also be involved in facilitating cohort coaching sessions, conducting individual check-ins, and building a professional peer network of support for the learners. Applicants for the Career Coach position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years' of professional experience in education, social work, career coaching, or counseling. The role requires a proven track record of success in coaching and mentoring, strong facilitation and relationship-building skills, and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be adept at using relevant technology and leading group sessions online, as well as being able to perform well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude. Key qualifications include the ability to build and sustain key relationships, foster a respectful environment, and demonstrate flexibility and the ability to handle difficult issues with grace and confidence.
