Join a growing cardiac anesthesia team with excellent support, strong compensation, and no in-house calls.

Position Snapshot

• Setting: Inpatient Cardiovascular Anesthesia at CHRISTUS St. Michael (Level III Trauma Center); support for Wadley Regional Emergency Dept\
• Case Mix: CABG, VALVE, TAVR, Thoracotomy, VATS, Robotic Lung, Endovascular procedures, EP Lab, DC/CV, TEE
• Team: Supportive team of CRNAs (non-cardiac focus), 2 MDs + locums, with the goal of 3 full-time MDs
• Call: 1:3, no in-house call; weekend call is Friday–Sunday, rarely called in after hours
• Work Hours: Monday–Friday, ~7 AM – 4 PM
• EMR: EPIC
• Facility: 312-bed acute care hospital with 129-acre campus; dyad leadership model (clinical + admin)

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $686,000
• Incentives:
  • $10,000 quality bonus
  • $4,000 annual CME stipend
  • Up to $100,000 signing bonus (negotiable based on experience)
  • Full relocation support

  • Paid Time Off: 8 weeks

Requirements

• Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology
• Must have cardiac experience; formal fellowship not required
• Must be able to perform and interpret TEEs (pre and post)
• H1B visa sponsorship available (J1 not supported)
• New fellowship graduates welcome

• All cardiac team – full focus on CV anesthesia
• Annual Cardiac Volume (approx.):
• 300 Hearts
• 100 Thoracic
• 320 TEEs
• 230 EP Lab
• 180 DC/CV
• 80–100 other related procedures
• Equipment includes: TEE, Bronchoscope, Ultrasound, GlideScope

Location – Texarkana, TX

• No state income tax (including the Arkansas side of Texarkana)
• Good cost of living and high physician retention (>95%)
• Regional airport with flights to Dallas and Houston
• Within 1–2.5 hours of Shreveport, Little Rock, and Dallas
• Excellent public/private schools, Texas A&M University campus, and a vibrant local community
