Currently,
ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented
CAD Designer to join our team in
Glen Burnie, MD supporting several Air Cushion Vehicle (ACV) programs.
This position has the possibility of being
Remote .
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Develops 3D models and 2D drawings of a wide various of mechanical and structural assemblies.
- Works collaboratively with goal-oriented project teams.
- Reliably manages work execution timelines through development of timelines with milestones.
- Continually reviews technical data to identify and diagnose problems such as system interface issues, part interferences, hardware incompatibility, and provides recommended solutions to team.
- Possesses ability to read 2D and 3D data in a wide variety of formats.
Minimum Qualifications: - Associate's degree in engineering technology or similar
- 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks
- Ability to generate complete and functional 3D assemblies with associated metadata
- Ability to generate complete, high-quality 2D drawing packages
Desired Qualifications: - Experience with the US Navy, including on active duty, government civilian, or support contractor.
- 4 or more years of relevant experience
- Experience working with composite materials in a Designer/Drafter role, including basic understanding of materials and fabrication, and development of fabrication layup details and ply tables as provided by engineers
Clearance Requirements: - Must have, or be eligible to acquire, DoD Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements: - The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
The projected compensation range for this position is $73,500-$122,600. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
