Chemical Buyer – Aerospace

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Buyer to join our inside sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing chemicals, managing supplier relationships, processing customer RFQs, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, salaried position with opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize daily tasks from the department sales manager, including customer RFQs and follow-up requests.
• Source RFQ line items using company tools, including database history, ILS, PartsBase, and other resources.
• Coordinate assignments with procurement, expediting, and sales coordination teams.
• Prepare and issue customer quotes by the end of each business day using ERP software.
• Resolve issues related to rejected items, stock shortages, lead times, and other order-related matters in coordination with vendors and internal staff.
• Act as department lead in the absence of the sales manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or 4–5 years of sales or procurement experience in the aerospace industry.
• Previous experience in aerospace brokering, MRO, or trading preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Basic math skills, including calculations for percentages, margins, and markups.
