Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
Manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements
Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
Oversee Inter-Company transactions and reconcile inter-company accounts
Prepare and review financial reports and provide analysis to management
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed
Partner with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Assist with annual audits and tax filings
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance
Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and General Ledger accounting
Experience with Inter-Company transactions and reconciliations
Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
CPA or CMA certification preferred
