Boilermaker/Pipe Welder

Boilermaker Journeyman
Construct, assemble, maintain, and repair stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. Align structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame tanks or vats, following blueprints. Welding pipe and tube as necessary.

Responsible for performing, welding tasks – ASME code and standard welds.
Function as the lead on core welding projects.
Ability, aptitude and desire to learn boiler mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Must be able to pass an ASME certified G6 test. Basic mechanical and pipefitting skills.

Travel: Daily local travel with some overnight stays on more complex projects

Physical Skill and Effort:

Able to lift 50 pounds.

Working Conditions and Hazards:

Able to work in confined and elevated areas. Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Drug Free and Must have a drivers license

Pay is 26-35 and will be negotiated after interview with offer. This is a permanent position.
