As an Associate Producer , you will collaborate with producers in the newsroom to craft compelling stories. Your creativity and upbeat attitude will be essential as you tackle sensitive topics and tell character-driven stories. Alongside the team, youll represent whats happening in your community and connect audiences with the stories that matter.

WHAT YOULL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS

Required Qualifications

• Experience : Television news - 0-2 years
• Education : High school diploma
• Technical Skills : Knowledge of current events, social media, and industry trends
• Skills : Ability to collaborate, news writing skills, and attention to detail
• Travel Ability : Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
• Schedule : Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, comparable television work experience preferred
• Working knowledge of general office computer software, newsroom software and basic non-linear editing systems
• May be required to lift up to five pounds

Working Conditions

• Works primarily inside a climate-controlled environment throughout the year but might be assigned field duties on occasion
• Semi-noisy newsroom setting

The base pay for this position generally is between $20.00 and $33.11 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
