Role: Assistant Director of Technology & Innovation
Department: Technology & Innovation
Reports to: Sr Director of Technology & Innovation
Status: Full-time, exempt
Hours: 9am – 5pm, M – F

Remote/Hybrid Option: None

As the Assistant Director of Technology & Innovation, your responsibilities would include overseeing the entire IT infrastructure of the organization, ensuring that all systems, applications, and networks function efficiently and securely.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the organization's computer and information technology systems, including the Microsoft server, backup, network, and telecommunications.
  • Maintain the daily and weekly cybersecurity reports to ensure all hardware and software meets our high security standards; monitor security protocols and potential threats.
  • Ensure that all hardware and software are updated, secure, and functioning optimally.
  • Ensure the IT support team provides timely and effective support to all users within the organization.
  • Onboard new staff members to their technology, including joining their computer to the domain and setting up their network resources, email, software, and cybersecurity tools.
  • Offboard staff members from their technology upon their departure.
  • Prepare and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Oversee IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Oversee IT and cybersecurity audits.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring the best services and products are procured.
  • Drive innovation within the IT department, exploring new technologies and solutions to enhance business operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, including setting up Teams, giving access rights, and moving data to SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with any Association Management Software (AMS).
  • Deep sense of accountability and past experience taking ownership of a department.
  • Strong dedication to team culture and growth mindset.
