Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Elizabethtown, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a pivotal role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a dynamic healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the facility, maintain a visible presence, and interact with staff, patients, and visitors to provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility, including interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying identification and authorization of individuals as required by site protocols.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
• Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during critical incidents or emergencies.
• Remain alert and observant while patrolling, promptly addressing situations that may arise.
• Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment, including radios and access control devices, according to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid and current armed guard card or license as required by local and/or state regulations.
• Applicants must provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
