At FSB Architects + Engineers , we’re always looking to connect with talented professionals who are passionate about leading transformative projects and building lasting partnerships. If you thrive on collaboration, project leadership, and creating spaces that make a real difference in communities, we’d love to connect with you.

Our Project Managers are trusted advocates for both the client and the project team — guiding strategy, budget, and schedule with precision and care. Across civic, commercial, education, aviation, and federal sectors, they lead with clarity and integrity to deliver high-quality results that matter.

Responsibilities:

  • Routinely communicate with Market Sector Principals regarding project status and strategic planning.
  • Develop, execute, and oversee Project Strategic Plans to ensure alignment with client goals and sector objectives.
  • Prepare and negotiate scopes of work and fee proposals with clients and outside consultants.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules, inputting and updating information within company accounting systems.
  • Lead and organize all client meetings, acting as the primary day-to-day contact throughout project lifecycle.
  • Ensure successful execution of the Project Execution Plan by collaborating with Project Team Leaders and design teams.
  • Oversee project profitability, quality control, and adherence to schedule commitments.
  • Collaborate with Discipline Directors and fellow Project Managers to allocate resources effectively across projects.
  • Actively manage project issues, taking a proactive stance to resolve challenges before they escalate.
  • Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, modeling FSB’s Guiding Principles and commitment to excellence.
  • Proactively respond to client needs, supporting the development of long-term relationships.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to project teams, emphasizing communication, initiative, and problem-solving skills.

Marketing and Business Development:

  • Support marketing and business development initiatives, including preparing proposals and participating in interviews as needed.
  • Assist Market Sector Principals with developing preliminary project fees and schedules.
  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout and beyond project completion.

Soft Skills:

  • Leadership: Inspire teams through collaboration, clear communication, and decisive action.
  • Time Management: Organize project workflows efficiently to meet deadlines and milestones.
  • Problem-Solving: Address challenges creatively, balancing technical and client-facing solutions.
  • Mentorship: Support the professional growth of team members at all experience levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Understand drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project management processes.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Project); experience with Deltek Vantagepoint preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
  • Licensed Architect or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred; PMP certification a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects from inception through completion.
  • Strong working knowledge of project budgeting, scheduling, and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience across civic, commercial, education, aviation, or federal market sectors strongly preferred.

At FSB Architects + Engineers, we believe that great projects start with great people. Our Project Managers are integral to shaping not just structures, but the future of the communities we serve. Join our dynamic, inclusive team and help us create solutions that truly make a difference.
