KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern for our Federal Cyber Security Services practice in Consulting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support teams of clients and KPMG personnel in the execution of project work and monitor and support progress against project milestones to help ensure timely and high quality deliverables across a variety of clients within multiple industries
  • Perform analytical reviews and conduct research to complete various quantitative and qualitative analyses as dictated by the scope of each project
  • Assist with draft technical documentation, project workpapers and policies and procedures
  • Help team members in the creation of proposals, discussion documents, business development activities and practice administration

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors or Masters degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Systems and Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Programming, System Analysis, Systems Engineering, Applied Technology Management, Database Technology, Technology Risk or equivalent program
  • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
  • Knowledge of privacy and related regulations, to include: NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST Risk Management Framework and NIST Special Publication 800 series preferred
  • Familiarity with concepts of cybersecurity and technology risk, control, threat and vulnerability management preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal government security clearance within a reasonable period of time, which requires U.S. citizenship
  • Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership
  • Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
