Job Description
Accounts Receivable Manager- Essex County, NJ
Oversee the accounts receivable team and manage daily AR operations, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation.
• Develop and implement collection strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize overdue balances.
• Analyze customer accounts to assess creditworthiness and set credit limits based on financial risk.
• Collaborate with sales, finance, and customer service teams to resolve billing issues and improve AR processes.
• General Ledger, deductions, CC Payments
• Assist with System cleanup
• Prepare AR aging reports and analyze data to identify trends, risks, and improvement areas.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and GAAP standards.
• Lead and mentor the AR team, providing training, guidance, and support to achieve departmental goals.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable
• Proficiency with advanced Excel, Shopify, Walmart, Amazon, Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for managing cross-functional relationships.
